    Opportunity | Duty Description

    Job Summary

    The HR Manager leads all human resources functions of the EpiC Namibia project. This includes recruitment, employee relations, performance management, policy compliance, and staff development. The HR Manager ensures the organization maintains a positive work environment, complies with Namibian labor laws, and aligns HR practices with donor requirements.

    Key Duties and responsibilities

    • Develop and oversee HR strategies and staffing plans.
    • Lead recruitment processes to ensure timely hiring of qualified staff, and provide training and orientation to support effective onboarding and integration into the organization.
    • Implement and monitor performance appraisal systems.
    • Ensure compliance with Namibian labor laws and donor requirements.
    • Manage employee relations, grievance procedures, and disciplinary actions.
    • Oversee compensation, benefits, and leave administration.
    • Develop and update HR policies and procedures.
    • Promote professional development and capacity building opportunities.
    • Ensure HR files and records are accurate and up to date.
    • Provide HR reports and analysis to management and donors as required.

    Opportunity | Duty Requirement(s)

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
    • 10+ years of HR management experience, preferably in donor-funded programs.
    • Knowledge of Namibian labor law and HR best practices.
    • Strong leadership and people management skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
    • Fluency in English required; knowledge of local languages preferred.
