Description

• At PwC our people in audit and assurance focus on proving independent and objective assessments of financial statements internal controls and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders
• They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls
• In financial statement audit at PwC you will focus on obtaining reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement whether due to fraud or error and to issue an auditors report that includes the auditors opinion

Duties

• Managing a diverse client portfolio
• Reporting to a partner responsible for the portfolio within the assurance division
• Managing of client portfolios with internal and local connections
• Compliance with PwC audit methodology
• Staff management/coaching
• Risk Management
• Administration duties related to client portfolios
• Analyse and entify the linkages and interactions between the component parts of an entire system
• Take ownership of projects ensuring their successful planning budgeting execution and completion
• Partner with team leadership to ensure collective ownership of quality timelines and deliverables
• Develop skills outse your comfort zone and encourage others to do the same
• Effectively mentor others
• Use the review of work as an opportunity to deepen the expertise of team members
• Address conflicts or issues engaging in difficult conversations with clients team members and other stakeholders escalating where appropriate
• Uphold and reinforce professional and technical standards (e.g. refer to specific PwC tax and audit guance) the Firms code of conduct and independence requirements

Requisites

• Must be a Namibian Citizen

• Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant
• 3 - 4 years experience in an auditing environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Display sound leadership skills
• Analytic and solution driven

• Ability to multitask
• High attention to detail
• Self - motivated
• Must be computer literate including the use of Pastel and Caseware
• Strong business and technical understanding of IFRS
